CATHY WESTON  :  homebirth midwife in spokane & coeur d'alene

Birth is a universal experience. It can be powerful and creative as well as disruptive and challenging. Many cultures see it as a passing into womanhood...a journey. The fetus becomes a child, a woman becomes a mother, the couple a family. How we participate in the journey is determined by the choices we make.

Choosing a Midwife

Choosing a caregiver must take into account the parents' needs and expectations. Midwives have managed the process of normal, uncomplicated birth for centuries. Midwifery is a profession that requires one to be an ever-learning student—it demands one to be available as a teacher, healer, counselor, friend and confidant for every woman served. I am an advocate for the natural process and dignity of pregnancy, birth and parenting. I work toward the common goal of a safe birth with little or no intervention. Contact me for more information.
